Bob Geier’s Letter to Bill Reynolds – January 20, 2001
Dear Bill Reynolds,
My name is Bob Geier. Rollie Gangler contacted me about the memorial you wrote for my brother Bill. First, I’d like to say thank you.
When I first read it, I cried. It brought out feelings and memories that I had suppressed over the last thirty years. People say it gets easier over time, but I believe its actually the opposite. I miss Bill more everyday.
Our father, Jack Geier, passed away three years ago of pancreatic cancer. Our mother is doing fine. My sister, my mother and I all live in Geneva, Illinois. My brother Jim lives In Logan City, Utah.
I told my family about your site. I pulled some shots out of a scrapbook that my mother had saved of Bill. Attached are 2 shots – one of Bill, which I thought might go well with the memorial page. The second shot is you, Lopez and Fischer.
I have other shots of: Idolius Casares (Bear), Charles Wall, Curt Irvin, Larry Walter, Mike Cramer, Lopez, and another of Ronnie “Penquin” Reynolds. Maybe you can fill me in on the nickname. Many shots are not labeled.
I would like to know the status of the others above, if you know.
Again, thank you for the beautiful things you said about my brother, Bill.
P.S. I would like to hear info on how your next reunion goes …..
