These documents are high praise indeed and well justified for a true American hero.  Bravo, Doc! I will never forget the day, June 19, 1967, when you came charging up, braving enemy fire, to help me tend to our 2nd Platoon medic, Bill Geier who had been mortally wounded while giving aid to other wounded soldiers.  You were Tha Man then and I am certain that you are still living your life courageously for others.
