Howard Earl Green, 64, of Conroe died Sunday, May 13, 2007 in Conroe. Services are set for 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19 at Clayton Baptist Church in College Station, with the Rev. Cedric Rouse, of St. Emanuel Baptist Church in Hearne, officiating. Burial will be in Brushey Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at Daniel and Son Funeral Home.
Howard was born May 7, 1943 in Bryan. He retired as facilitator from Texas Southern University, and served in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his brothers, James, Milton and A.J. Green, both of Bryan; and sister, Gladys Green of Los Angeles, Calif.
Memorials may be made to Clayton Baptist Church.

Bodies Of Two Missing Fishermen Recovered
LAKE CONROE The bodies of two fishermen missing from their boat since Friday have been recovered from Lake Conroe.
The body of Frank Miller, 63, was spotted about 6:30 a.m. Monday by residents who live on Sand Shore and called authorities, said officials with Montgomery County’s Constable’s Office Precinct 1 Marine Division.
The body of Howard Green, 64, was recovered Sunday around 3:45 p.m. by search and rescue crews, officials said.
Autopsy reports released Monday said the deaths were consistent with accidental drowning. The drownings were the second and third this year at the lake, said Constable Deputy Tony Guy. The first was about a month ago, when a fisherman fell off his boat near Lewis Creek, Guy said.
Last year, there were three reported drownings at the lake.
Miller and Green were from Houston, officials said. Green was retired director of plant operations at Texas Southern University and Miller was a former teacher at Fondren Middle School.
The men disappeared Friday during a fishing trip. They were with three friends who were in a second boat, said Constable Deputy Tony Guy.
The friends discovered Miller and Green’s empty boat circling in the lake near the southern mouth of Rush Creek shortly before noon and called authorities, Guy said. Miller and Green reportedly had health problems, he said.
