2nd Platoon, C Company, 4th/47th Battalion, 2nd Brigade

Here’s Curtis examining a Viet Cong booby trap while sportin’ a WWII Thompson Machine Gun recovered from a VC cache.
2nd Platoon pals, Bob Ehlert and Curtis crossing another
stinkin’ muddy river in the Mekong Delta.
Lower left:  Ronnie Bryan, Bill Varsafsky & Ronnie Reynolds Upper left:  Bob Ehlert, Bill Reynolds, ??, & Donald Jackson.
“Rambo” Curtis diggin’ his Tommy Gun.
Bob Ehlert & Curtis Irvin doin’ some of their best work. . .
2nd Platoon troopers patrolling a river in the Rung Sat Special Zone – none of us liked
ridin’ in these stinkin’ noisy plastic boats.

Curtis (right) posing with captured VC weapons by 2nd Platoon troopers – anyone recognize the other trooper?
M-60 Machine Gunner, Ronnie Bryan and Curtis takin’ a break during another patrol in the Mekong Delta – 2 fine troopers from Missouri.
Bob Ehlert (AKA: Big Red) from Minnesota, Bill Varsafsky from
Washington and Curtis from Missouri.
At first glance, you may think these fine 2nd Platoon troopers
are in a brawl, but no.  They are simply returning to the
USS Benewah completely wasted from a day’s
R & R at Vung Tau.

Here’s Curtis in all his glory – haha!
